A Jazz Weekend of True Flavor

Since 2001, the Omaha Jitterbugs have been putting on a swing dance and jazz music weekend of bonafide flavor.  Fueled by warm hospitality, exciting late night dances in artistic venues, and more sweet corn than you can eat*, the Cowtown Jamborama is just getting better and better in this: our 9th year.

Live Music

Every night, live music! A local all-star ensemble from Omaha’s finest jazz musicians, to the incomparable jazz darling Meschiya Lake and dem Little Big Horns.   Not only will there be live music every night, but with all these fine gators running around you can bet the late nights and in-betweens will be full of sabor de swing.

Swing Dancing

And lots of it.  The Jamborama has been this decade’s answer to Lindy Hop in deep Midwest.  Even amidst rolling plains and the winding (and wet) Missouri, we are dancing.  The Jamborama offers a panorama of dance opportunities – that’s what the show’s about, after all.  Classes for beginners and the advanced, and hours and hours and hours of social dancing.
