Enter as an individual dancer, either a lead or a follow, and strut your social stuff with a variety of partners to a variety of tempos.

Anything Goes Contest

$10/couple - Saturday Night

Anything goes – just make it awesome. Lifts, tricks, whatever you have in your pocket is fair game. Enter with your partner and swing out. First prize will be a paid teaching weekend in Omaha. Yes, that’s right- you and your parter win and you’ll both be paid to come back and teach some of what put you on top.

World Famous Corn-Eating Contest

$5/person - Sunday immediately after classes

You’ve got to see it to believe it.  A ravenous spectacle, indeed, but not without a touch of beauty, class and finesse.  Past champions include Peter Loggins (who ended up with more in his lap than in his stomach), Andrew Thigpen (the cheerful MC was visibly demoralized even in the glow of victory), and Bill Butler (who went to the emergency room straight away after puking up some blood- no worries, he came out fine).  Event DJ Reuben Brown, while not the champion, was a winner in our eyes for DJing while scarfing.  Three years ago, local dancers and married couple the so-named Cornstalkers took the top two spots.

It’s anybody’s game.  Either that, or it’s $5 for all the sweet corn you care to eat.
